Day 3/Anna Sophia

At 15 years old, Anna Sophia was diagnosed with a hernia. She said she wasn't in pain, but was afraid of complications because she is so young.


Anna said she wouldn't have been able to get the surgery if it weren't for Med4Nicaragua because the hospitals are far from where she lives and she couldn't afford it.

Anna's mother, Anna Maria, said it was scary knowing that her daughter had the hernia, but her fear diminished when she knew we could give her daughter the surgery.


They had faith because God provided them with this opportunity even though their family doesn't have money.

Anna Maria described her daughter as very caring and happy.
